It can be easy to overlook pretty little "Erko", as it's affectionately known, what with big-'n-brash Newtown and the increasingly bustling Alexandria as neighbours. It's hard to find a prettier pub in the area than the Erkskineville Hotel. Head Chef Ethan Robinson makes as much in-house as possible using locally sourced ingredients - think hand cut chips, fresh herbs plucked from their plot at the Erko Road Community Garden. There is a solid list of local, craft and old school beers, a considered sustainable wine list and beautiful house cocktails including non -alcoholic options. It's hard to choose where to sit - the beer garden, main bar or out the front watching passers-by. Either way you're sure to enjoy good times at The Erko.
